Free cultural experience

This Saturday October 11 from 11:00a to 8:00p is the Diwali Festival of Lights celebration at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Cary, NC. Entrance is free and there is food, clothing and crafts for sale.

Treat yourself to a unique cultural experience at Cary Diwali 2008. Cary Diwali pays tribute to Indian art and culture. This year’s theme is Santulan — An Expression of Harmonious Equilibrium. Performances will reflect the theme by presenting a balance of the latest in Indian music and dance along with more traditional forms. This year’s featured performer is the Bollywood actess, singer and VJ Raageshwari “Ragz.” A bazaar will offer a wide variety of handicrafts, clothing, jewelry, music and food to delight the senses. Special exhibits will showcase India’s past and present. Diwali, which means “row of lights,” will conclude with a fireworks display over the lake at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre.
