Ten tips on saving gas

1. Less than a minute warm-up time is enough, even on a cold morning.
2. When starting from dead stop, accelerate slowly.
3. Drive at the speed limit. This is safer and it saves gas.
3. Idling your engine for one minute consumes the same amount of gas as re-starting the engine. Don’t turn the engine off and on needlessly.
4. Extra weight in the car, trunk, or on top of your car will reduce your mileage. If you can, get rid of extra tires and unnecessary items inyour car.
5. Avoid "reving" the engine, especially just before you switch the engine off; this wastes fuel needlessly and washes oil down from the inside cylinder walls, owing to loss of oil pressure.
6.
7. When you’re on the highway, keep your windows closed. Open windows reduce mileage by about 10%.
8. Eliminate jack-rabbit starts by accelerating gradually when starting from dead stop.
9. Have regular tune-ups and change your air filter often to ensure gas efficiency.
10. Buy gasoline at coolest time of day (mornings or evenings) and do not fill tank to the top. Overfilling results in sloshing over and out of tank. Never fill gas tank past the first "click" of fuel nozzle, if nozzle is automatic.

Also, walking uses no gas and is good for you! :)

Happy walking
